from approximately 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. EDT.
Keep the Light Records is proud to sponsor this collaboration of these two artists who are multi-instrumentalists and play any genre of music.
Bob Hausler turned down many offers to go pro. He has no regrets about making the decision to stay home with his wife and children versus traveling the world playing music. He feels his life has been blessed even without going to majors and states that he hasn’t missed anything, in fact, he feels he’s gained so much more in life by being around to be a husband and father.
Bob performs with other groups in Michigan and does a solo act now and then. He owns Bit by Bit Recording Studio in Michigan and is devoted to helping other artists develop and create their own unique sound. Read more at http://BobHausler.com.
Daryl Hayott, internationally known as the bad boy of jazz on the pro music circuits, was a signed artist as a teenager and spent years in the majors. Recent times find Daryl running his own music label, Keep the Light Records and doing the indie thing. Read more at http://DHayott.com.
When asked what is expected during this session, a spokesperson for Keep the Light Records said:
“We expect both of these guys to be like little kids in the candy store or at the playground. There are going to be instruments everywhere and we can picture them asking each other – ‘Okay, what do you want instrument do you want to play…okay, you wanna play this and I’ll play that.. Then okay, what instrument do you wanna play now? (laughing) We’re looking forward to the magic that happens from this session. It’s going to be absolute magic when Daryl and Bob get together.”
And what happens with the music that gets created that day, during the session?
“I’m certain we’ll get around to mixing it all down and putting it out for the public, but right now, we’re just focused on enjoying that very day, those moments when the two of them are together and watching that synergy. And we want to give the fans an opportunity to watch these two work and play for an hour so they also can see and enjoy the process. We’ll decide what the do with the
music later on. Also, we will be posting clips from the session on-line, so that way the fans will get to see more.”
Several other local Connecticut artists have been invited to participate in the jam session, including artist and breakdancer, Gyasi Govan.
The session will be broadcast or webcast live from Monster Lab Recording Studios,
engineered and run by Ray Morant in New Britain, CT, USA.
